The Beleura Junior Football Club is a volunteer based organisation which relies solely on parents to operate the Club. We hope you will enjoy your time at Beleura and encourage you and your family to participate and help our wonderful Club go from strength to strength.

Coaches Role:

The Team Coach is responsible for player well-being, Team training & drills, Player positioning and game day instructions and coaching.

All coaches in the MPJFL shall be registered with the League and accredited to at least Level 1 standard. All Coaches must also have Working With Children Checks.

Coaching Accreditations:
  • Level 1 Youth Course (Under 13 to Under 19 and Intermediate & Youth Girls)
  • Level 1 Junior Course (Under 8 to Under 12 and Junior Girls)

Team Manager Role:

The Team Manager on game day is responsible for the co-ordination of all volunteer positions, Umpire paperwork, Home games match-ball, Team sheet, Game day awards and Voting cards. They also communicate with parents on team activities and information.

The Team Manager must have Working With Children Checks.


Team Runner Role:

The Team Runner on game day is to communicate the coachs positional changes and interchange of players. Its also there responsibility to walk the Match Umpires off the field to there room at the end of the game. They may also assist the team coach with training.

The Team Runner must have Working With Children Checks.


Trainer Role:

The Team Trainer on game day is to assist the players with any injuries on or off the field. Including: Safety, injury prevention, injury management, rules and regulations pertaining to trainers.

The Team Trainer must have Working With Children Checks.

Trainer Accreditations:
  • First Aid Certificate - HLTAID003 Provide First Aid.
  • AFL Victoria Country Trainers Accreditation.

Goal Umpire Role:

The Goal Umpire on game day is responsible for the signalling of any score to the Umpires and other Goal Umpire. They are also required to record the match score to confirm the correct scores after the match and hand back to the Team Manager for match records.


Intercharge Steward Role:

The Interchange Steward on game day is responsible to record the players numbers & time of interchange on and off the field for both teams and hand back to the Team Manager for match records.


Boundary Umpire Role:

The Boundary Umpire on game day is responsible for the boundary throw-in of the match ball when out of bounds or to communicate to the Match Umpire if the match ball is out on the full.


Time Keeper Role:

The Time Keeper on game day is responsible for the timing of the game which includes siren and keeping of score. The scorecard is required to be handed back to the Team Manager for match records.


Water Trainer Role:

The Water Trainer on game day is responsible for the hydration of all team players.
